Environment Focused Programs
What is Plarning?
Plarning is the creative recycling of plastic bags, using basic Crochet to make a variety of useful products. This friendly group meet weekly to share skills and ideas. Anyone can learn this easy process and everyone is welcome. Plarning helps reduce the amount of plastic which ends up in landfill or in our oceans. Plarning creations include but are not limited to re-usable shopping and tote bags, dog mats, shower mats, outdoor cushions. Funds raised through the sale of these items support local charities, including Ballarat Soup Bus

Repair and Share Cafe bring you a coffee and cake stop, fundraising for sustainability. And, a destination for all things repair and share.
We invite you to bring along your items for fixing and join us in a celebration of community spirit and collaborative repair.
Repair skills on offer by our local expert volunteers include sewing, darning, bike fixing, small electrical, mechanical, computer, knife sharpening, good conversation, woodwork inc small furniture, baking and making.
It's more than just fixing things; it's about creating connections, learning new skills, sharing stories, and enjoying the warmth of community supporting the cause by purchasing homemade food, baked treats and great coffee.
Let's come together to support a more sustainable future, share our abundance, and make meaningful changes, one repair at a time. See you there for a morning of fun, learning, and community building!
