Community Share Pantry
Located outside at the rear of the CNC is our pantry cupboard and a fridge. The pantry is stocked by volunteers with healthy food items most days of the week.
This food is free for our community and we ask that if you need food, you come and check the cupboard and fridge. Take only what you need and leave some for others.
We accept donations of unopened food items directly to the pantry and fridge from our community members and hope you think of us when you do a pantry clear out, or whilst shopping you could buy a little extra. We also welcome excess homegrown vegetables and fruit.
If the cupboard and fridge are bare, our daily allocations have been exhausted.
Community Lunch
NOTE: No lunch in January - volunteers having a well earned break. Back Tues 11 February at 12noon.
On the second Tuesday of the month from 12pm to 1pm we host a Community Lunch. This is a free event and we encourage you to come along if you are hungry or just need to get out and connect with people.
Over the last year we have experienced the strong need for regular supply of good healthy home cooked food and connection. This program has grown exponentially. We endevour to make our meals from food sourced primarily from our local food bank.
Anglicare attend this event and other services may be in attendance such as Centrelink, CEBI and Cafs.
Community Lunch - Take Away
NOTE: No takeaway meal in Jan - volunteers having a well earned break. Back in Feb.
On the fourth Tuesday of the month the CNC host a Community Lunch which is take away only. Please pick up food between 12 and 1pm to collect your meal. These are amazing home cooked healthy meals using food sourced primarily from our local foodbank.
Food Relief Tuesdays
Tuesdays are busy here at the CNC! Food relief parcels are available for collection every Tuesday between 10.30am and 11.30am at the rear of the CNC near our Food Pantry. A small selection dairy may be handed out. We supply a plentiful selection of fresh vegetables and fruit.
Emergency Food Relief by Anglicare
Emergency food relief is provided at the CNC by Anglicare on the second Tuesday of the month for those who have registered prior to the event.
Anglicare attend our community lunch and food relief is provided after lunch at 1pm - 2pm.
Registration is essential to access food relief on this day.
