Alison’s Yoga
Sundays
Description
We are delighted to have Alison join us to bring two styles of Yoga across the week.
What to expect - Alison joins us with over 25 years of experience as a highly qualified yoga instructor, holding qualifications in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Meditation, Breathing and Philosophy … bringing a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to our team.
For Alison teaching is not just a job, but it’s her passion. She loves to help people to connect their mind and body more deeply and authentically and draws inspiration from the individual journeys of growth and realisation of self.
Alison continues on-going studies including expanding her knowledge on Mindset and Coaching, reinforcing her belief that the mind is an incredible machine capable of shaping our reality by what we feed it habitually through the power of thought.
She is a registered senior teacher (Level 3) with Yoga Australia Association.
HATHA Tuesdays: (Taking EOI’s for an evening class later in the year)
Hatha Yoga is a foundational and accessible style of yoga, making it an excellent practice for beginners and anyone seeking a slower, more mindful approach. It brings together postures (asanas) that help focus and steady the mind, breathing (pranayama) to connect and regulate the breath and nervous system, visualisation and relaxation.
With its gentle pace, Hatha Yoga supports improved flexibility, mobility, balance, awareness —while bringing alignment and calm, reducing stress and leaving you feeling grounded, refreshed, and rejuvenated.
YIN Sundays:
Yin Yoga is a slow, deep, meditative style of yoga that invites you to slow down and turn inward. The practice focuses on long-held, passive, floor-based poses—typically held for several minutes—to gently target deep connective tissues such as fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than muscles.
Using supportive props like bolsters and blocks, Yin Yoga encourages stillness and surrender, allowing for a deeper release and a stronger mind-body connection. This deeply nurturing practice helps enhance flexibility, joint mobility and circulation, calm the nervous system, and reduce stress. As a perfect complement to more active “yang” styles of movement, and the busy-ness of life, Yin Yoga is accessible, restorative, and welcoming to all abilities.
