Creswick Chorus

The Creswick Chorus is a community choir. Singers of all abilities welcome. The choir meets on Wednesday nights during the school term. You will practice some technical development work and also sing songs that have a strong emphasis on contemporary style and global conscience. Occasionally you will have exciting opportunities to perform in our community.

Studies have shown that making music as part of a team is one of the most satisfying things in life. We know strong connections are made with people and music, and health and emotional wellbeing is enhanced.

This is an amazing opportunity for you to sing with Stella Savy. Stella has devoted her whole life to teaching and facilitating connection through music. She is a renowned performer and lives and breathes music.

Ukulele with Amie Brûlée

This class is designed for those new to the ukulele or who are early in their ukulele adventure. We’ll learn the basics of the instrument – how to tune, chords, strumming – and some easy fun songs to sing along with. Bring your ukulele and a smile. There won’t be any pressure to perform as the focus of this class is on learning how to play, developing confidence and enjoying the music.

*If you don’t have a ukulele yet, Amie has a small selection of secondhand ones available to purchase for around $50.

“Oh, je t’adore”, said the singer to the ukulele.

Amie Brûlée and her small, stringed friend bring you fabulous songs in seductively vintage style. Occasionally spotted in Paris with her ukulele (that’s ukulélé in French), she sings an eclectic mix of French, Spanish and original songs, vintage jazz, and other tunes that cross her path and take her fancy. Her musical adventures and influences range from classical to jazz, cabaret to blues, flamenco to folk (just to name a few), and she loves nothing more than finding a new way to interpret an old song. A qualified and experienced teacher and performer, Amie loves to sing great songs, tell interesting tales and share the joy of music with audiences and students.
